Guild Faction going down??!! - Guild Wars Forums

Hi there everyone, this is my first post!!

Anyways, my guild are Kurzick and about 2 days ago I put 10,000 Kurzick faction into the guild. I can't remember the exact number it went up to, but it was around 100,000. Now 2 days later this number has dropped quite significantly!

Is this Because there are Luxon members in the guild?

Or is it because it decreases over time?

Any replies will be greatly appreciated!

It would take a long time to reach zero, because even if it rounds up, it would take ten days just to go from 10 to 0.

It jump from 5000 to under 2000 pretty quickly.....

so what happens when it reaches 0?

You are no longer aligned with either Kurz's or Luxon's and they won't speak to you in towns, etc... until you put some factions back in.

mathematically, it would take a very long time for it to reach 0 so as long as you keep gaining faction for your alliance, its nothing to worry about. depending on how the numbers round off, you might not even be able to reach lower than 1.

but to answer your question, i really dont have a clue.

you're guild is either A: aligned with Luxon's B: aligned with Kurzick's or C: neither.
Once you align with a faction you can begin donating faction as a show of support... but NOT donating and therefore having 0 (like you start with) has absolutely no bearing on whether or not you are aligned with the faction.
The townsfolk wont talk to you if your current balance of faction is higher on the opposing side than local, the only bearing donating faction has on this is that it lowers your current balance.

There was a bug in Alliance Faction some time ago, we dropped from 300k to around 100k in one day.

They probably wanted a big drop after making some faction farming harder.

It wouldn't take 10 days t get from 10 to 0.

at 1 it would go to 9
at 2 it would go to 8.1
at 3 it would go to 7.29
at 4 it would go to 6.561
at 5 it would go to 5.9049
at 6 it would go to 5.31441
at 7 it would go to 4.782969
at 8 it would go to 4.3046721
at 9 it would go to 3.87420489
at 10 it would go to 3.486784

Thus, never reaching 0 in 10 days, because it only takes 10% off each time. So your 10 faction is safe for over 10 days.
